Pies could be made in real pie pans or made inside a mold of a disposable pie pan which could then be lustered silver. Of course the whipped cream is made of plaster of Paris.

Later, I even started using real pie pans to put the finished pie in.

I made the pies during the time when people were going around and hitting celebrities and politicians with pies. It only seemed right that FrogVictoria might also be so surprised. Here she is in a birch bark canoe with friends.

Made for someone special, this cake featured a removable slice which exposed it's devil's food innards. It is all glazed with my perfect milk chocolate glaze, Mayco's African Brown. Alas, this glaze is no longer available.

Frog wedding cakes are direct and to the point! Or as I always tell people when showing this slide, if this is what the cake is like can you imagine the reception?

Not to be out done by the frogs, the beavers had their own special wedding cakes made of bark and pine cones with only small bits of frosting and a much more demure couple on top.

The BreadFrog, a rather enigmatic character, who was always seen covered with poppyseeds and who is never satisfied with how he looks and is thus always trying to change into something else, appears here as spontaneous bake sale. He is probably helping raise funds for his church.

Besides the wedding cakes, I also made a few regular cakes. They were frosted with mushy clay and the same mushy clay was squeezed through a pastry bag to make the decorations. Happy Birthday FrogFred!

The earliest version of The Beaver Wedding Cake is much less sophisticated than the later one.

In the FrogWorld, naturally, they also used food for costumes. Here we see FrogVictoria dressed for the ball but the cake is so heavy that she must be pushed into the ballroom by her beavers.

The Stump Store appears in several pieces. Here we see a frog baker out displaying his wares in the open air store.
